Sale Day Drop off: 8:00 am – 10:30 am (morning prior to swap) Gear can also be dropped off at Skookum Mon Oct 21 to Thurs October 24 (business hours) Ski Swap: 11:00 am – 2:30 pm Pickup: 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm (money or unsold gear)
It will cost $1 per item entered into the swap and the club keeps 20% of the selling price if it sells. Only safe gear in working order will be accepted. Sales includes XC skiing equipment, downhill skiing and boarding equipment, and other outdoor winter sports gear/clothes.
Cash or Cheque Only. You MUST pickup unsold gear on the day of the swap – items not picked up by 4pm are no longer the responsibility of the club.
The Club Manager Executive Assistant Committee advertised the position and reviewed all the submissions. We interviewed five candidates who were all very qualified. The successful applicant was Karen Tanchak. We welcome her as part of the team and she will assume her full duties in November. The Committee has one more meeting and then will be disbanded. Tom’s Shelter
Larch Hills Nordic Society is looking for someone with experience in log structures to do a quick assessment of the state of Tom’s Shelter and recommend any improvements or further follow-up that might be needed in the next few years. Could you use some help with your fall yard clean-up? Larch Hills ski team athletes are continuing their fundraising toward this year’s ski season and are available for hire. Please contact Abbi at abbimay71@yahoo.com to arrange for a group of fit, strong and hardworking teens to help get your yard cleaned up for winter. Payment by donation or minimum $15/hr per worker.
