Skiing in the 36th Annual Reino Keski-Salmi Loppet on Saturday, January 25…what an ideal way to kick off 2020! With all of our recent snow, the conditions at the Larch Hills will be perfect for a magical day on the trails. Come out to enjoy the day and the camaraderie of some of our over 1000 club members or renew friendships with annual visitors.  Final Call for Loppet Volunteers!
We are seeking a few more volunteers for the Reino Keski-Salmi Loppet coming up on Saturday. We need a couple of people to help sell raffle tickets during registration at the community centre on Friday (4-7 pm) and again on Saturday evening at the wine and cheese. We’re also looking for a couple of people to be controllers out on the course Saturday morning.

COME LEARN TO BUILD AN IGLOO Â
Peter Mair is Larch Hills’ resident igloo builder. You might have seen his structures on Frodo’s or Bilbo’s Bog in the last few years. If you’d like to join Peter in the building of an igloo on an upcoming weekend, email Hermann Bruns at hbruns@live.ca
You’ll need warm clothes (preferably with a moisture resistant outer layer), a shovel, and a 20″ aggressive-tooth handsaw (optional). It will take about 2-3 hours from start to finish. Â

Congratulations to the 24 Larch Hills Junior Ski Team members who raced in the Western Canada Cup last weekend in Whistler.
