Larch Hills eNews – General Meeting Tonight, Thank you School Hosts!, Election Upcoming
A Huge Thank you to the School Hosts!
Thank you to Antje Breugum and her army of dedicated volunteers who came out for the month of January and part of February to assist with the School Programs. Lots of kids on the hill and it sure appeared that fun was had by all. There were a few days where the Bus Driver’s were the heroes getting those buses through the snow!.
Thank you to all that came out and made this program a success. Below are a few of the volunteers enjoying some goodies after the group got together for an ‘adult’ ski.

NEW BUSINESS Treasurer Report Motion on Naming the Chalet:
The LHNS Board of Directors would like to move that we hang a sign below the deck and above the double basement doors facing the parking lot that says, “Rob Nash Memorial Chalet†This sign would be the same design as all LH trail signs. The original “Larch Hills Chalet†sign will remain at the old chalet.

– Track Setting Equip/Maintenance Since our last meeting in December we have lost our 2015 Skandic snowmobile as the engine and related parts ceased. It would have cost $10k to repair and it was not trouble free when it was working. Then our 1997 snowmobile quit working just before the RKS Loppet probably an engine issue as well. We are in the process of repairing one of our donated snowmobiles to use as a spare. However, we need another snowmobile and spare before the next season and I would like to pass a motion to that effect. Motion: “That the membership approve a maximum expenditure of $36,000 from the PB Tracksetter Replacement Fund (TRF) For the purchase of new or used snowmobiles and/or attachments to be used for grooming ski trails and other trail maintenance tasks. The purchase will be subject to the approval of the Directors of the Larch Hills Nordic Society. “
