Larch Hills eNews – First Day of Spring, Larch Hills/Nordique Canada Fundraising Final Numbers
First Day of Spring
Larch Hills was blessed with a Dusting of new snow!!
Spring Skiing is Happening.
The tracksetters are still working hard on keeping the trails to their finest. Decisions are made daily to decide what is the best approach to grooming. Skiers are reporting good conditions.
Snow shoe trails are still firm, but be prepared for some variable conditions. If you are boot hiking, you might want to carry your cleats and snowshoes.
The road crews have been working on grading and smoothing the route up. Conditions have improved from a few weeks ago; surface has dried out and makes for easier navigating.
Provincial Health Order has announced that adult outdoor sports can now expand to a maximum of 10 people in a group. You must still respect the 3 meter social distancing.

Project Fundraising Drive
CCBC/Nordiq Canada Challenge has now Ended
Thank you to everyone who donated to the Larch Hills Nordic Society Lighting Project through the Club Fundraiser organized by CCBC and Nordiqu Canada.
Larch Hills Members are the best! Our goal was set at $20,000 and you all helped exceed that. The total raised during this campaign was $24,225.
The final challenge issued by CCBC was to see who could raise the most money in the last 10 days before the campaign ended. We were in a close race for second place and a prize of an additional $500. The other club must have known we were close on their tail. We closed the gap in the final hours but not enough to end in second place. We did receive $1,000 in matched funds from CCBC. Thank you again for all who participated.
Of course our Lighting Committee is still very active in raising funds for Phases 2-3-4. You can still contribute to the project through our website. You can keep updated on the progress by clicking the link here:
