You made the Friday, January 31 Larch Hills Pirate Loppet a smiles-filled day for 467 local elementary and middle school students who enjoyed this year’s “high seas†Ski Adventure! Since 2011, $34,400 has been distributed to fifteen different SD No.83 schools for the purchase of X-C Ski equipment. Quite a few families came out to “Unplug and Play” on the Snowshoe Trails February 1. They enjoyed the sunshine, blue skies and were all invited to take a book home.
This event is a partnership between Larch Hills Nordic Society, SD83, Shuswap Literacy Alliance (Unplug and Play) and Salmon Arm Recreation.
