Trail User Notice: Chainsaw Course
Please be advised that a chainsaw safety and operation course will be taking place within the Larch Hills trail system on May 22, 23, 24 and 25th (Thursday to Sunday) during daylight hours.
For the safety of all trail users and course participants, we kindly request that you exercise extra caution. You may encounter instructors and participants actively working with chainsaws.
Please be aware of the following:
Potential for loud noise.
Possible temporary trail closures or detours: Course activities may necessitate brief interruptions or rerouting of trails in the immediate area. Please follow any signage or instructions provided by course personnel.
Increased activity: You may see more people than usual in the designated area.
This training is vital for the ongoing upkeep and enjoyment of our trail system. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Delivered May 25th – $300/cord plus 70 cents per km and $150/half cord plus 70 cents per km
The wood is dry fir and approximately 16″ in length. 5 cords available and South Canoe is the pick up area. FYI: Private Event at Larch Hills Chalet, June 6-8
Just a heads-up that there will be a private event taking place at the Larch Hills Chalet, June 6-8 (Fri-Sun).
We kindly ask everyone enjoying the trails to please be mindful of the party’s privacy during this special occasion. We’d also appreciate your consideration regarding noise levels around the chalet throughout the day and evening. Trails and parking will remain open to all users.
