2025 August 17: LHNS Float at SA Parade, KALTIRE Coupon, Back to School Mabel’s Labels
It is summer time and that means: Salmon Arm Fair and Parade!!!
Larch Hills Nordic Society will take part with a float in the parade, Saturday August 23.
So all we need is a lot of skiers and families from Jackrabbits and Ski Team, Coaches and any other volunteers to represent us, hand out candy and flyers and rollerski around downtown.
Important details: Anyone wanting to walk along should be there between 8am – 8:45am (parade starts at 9am, 45-60min total). Meeting location is the parade start at Wild Woodsman, flowing back all the way to DeMIlles. The float will look similar to the winter float. Please wear LHNS/Ski Team clothing and comfy shoes for walking, a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses & bring water! We will have ski team glitter for everyone as well!
Attention: There are over 40 entries – plus horses and tractors – so parking at the marshalling area is going to be tricky for people joining the LHNS entry. There will be traffic control at the Wild Woodsman/Frontage Rd corner at 8:30AM. Extra vehicles will NOT be able to drive down the Frontage Rd to meet any parade entries.
Recommendation: Come the long way through the traffic circles on the TCH Exit 478.
