2024 02 12: New Dog Trail Naming Contest, New Snowcat Fundraising, LHNS Ski-O Reminder

New Dog Trail
Naming Contest

Between now and March 10th, 2024 the Larch Hills Nordic Society will be collecting name ideas for the new dog trail on private land that was completed last summer.

Please send in your name suggestions to manager@skilarchhills.ca. The kids are welcome to provide suggestions sent in by an adult.

We are hoping for a name that will complement some of the existing trail names. Keep in mind that we do have some trail names with a Lord of the Rings theme.

There will be some small prizes awarded to the finalists for this competition.

SNOW CAT FUNDRAISER
2024

Our fundraising initiative through Nordiq Canada  for 2024 will continue to focus on a new snowcat to replace our existing pistenbully.   Donating through Nordiq will allow you to receive a tax receipt for the 2024 year.

To update the members, Larch Hills Nordic was not successful in receiving the Government Gaming Grant applied for in 2023.  This results in us needing to continue to fundraise for the purchase of a new machine.  Other grants are being looked at currently and the committee is working hard to apply for any grants that fit the criteria.

The Larch Hills Nordic community is the best.  We appreciate all of you who donate generously in so many ways.  If you are considering a donation, you can find the details on the donation page  here.
