Seasonal Grooming Plan
Prinoth Bison (“Buffy”) Operators:
We have seven full-time operators and two back-up operators, each with a designated grooming day for the season.
Small Equipment Crew (SEC):
Our SEC includes five trained operators who groom on scheduled days using snowmobiles equipped with Ginzu groomers and other track-setting tools.
Our goal is to provide consistent, high-quality classic tracks and skate lanes. Central and Lit Trails, along with select North and South loops, are groomed daily. We are not able to groom the entire trail system every day. To see which trails have been groomed, check the Nordic Pulse map on this page, the TV monitor beside the office in the Chalet, or download the Nordic Pulse app.
How You Can Help
- Please do not walk on the ski trails. Footprints create deep holes that require extra time and effort to repair. If you’re walking, please use the snowshoe trails.
- If you’re skiing early season, watch for rocks, sticks, and other debris.
- Please be patient. Our grooming team takes great pride in creating an excellent skiing experience while also ensuring our equipment stays in good condition. We use the right tools in the right conditions—and we like to ski too!
Thanks to Rancho Vignola and John’s Ski Shack for sponsoring our grooming report!
