Maybe do it like the Junior Racers – throw on some glitter and face paint – because skiing is FUN! Or get out your silly toques, your favorite Hawaii Shirt or old school hockey jersey…make it FUN!

– Skate Skiing-
You are new to skate skiing or you have some experience but need some technique pointers?
The LHNS Ladies’ Night is offering their second special skate technique sessions: Feb 11th at 7pm.
John’s Ski Shack is offering free rentals for this session Thank you! Please contact them to sign up for rentals at 250 832 3457 – fcfs.
The Ladies will also have a low key social afterwards in the chalet, bring a snack to share if you like. Don’t wanna skate? There will still be a group to classic ski with on those evenings.

Big LHNS-Success at Western Canadian Championship in Kimberly, BC
Katy, Lily, Etoile, Stella and Madeleine raced in Kimberley BC with outstanding results for Larch Hills.
U18 Madeleine lead the team with 3 GOLD – incredible performances day after day. Saturday Madeleine skied the same distance as the U20, U23 and open women and had the fastest time of all women in all age groups and there were national training center athletes there as well.
U16 Etoile, Stella, Katy and Lily had excellent performances as well: Etoile was in the top 10 Friday and Sunday fishing 8th overall in the pursuit. Stella was 12th in the classic 5km Sunday and 17th overall in the pursuit. Lily is back racing and skied awesome, watch Lily move up as the season goes on! Katy moved up 11 places on the pursuit from her skate result Friday.
Congratulations, fantastic performances! You can be proud of yourselves and we hope you can hear us cheering you on: Go, go, go!!!
