Due to the cold front expected bringing temperatures of -25 to -30
It was a very tough decision to postpone the Lantern Ski. After taking into consideration the volunteers, young families and everyone’s comfort, the Lantern Ski has been moved to Saturday, January 8. 5:00 to 9:00 pm. We apologize for any inconvenience this change of date may have caused. Looking forward to seeing everyone January 8.
Grand Opening of the Trail Lighting
The lights are on a timer along with a photo eye. Depending on the natural light they should be on at approximately 4 pm and are scheduled to turn off at 10 pm. A reminder that you should always carry a headlamp when skiing at night.
Ski Hosts/Greeters Needed for Christmas Break
Sending out another request for our Christmas Greeters. Only one person responded so changing up the expectation. We are looking for 2 – 90 minute shifts between 10 am and 1 pm between now and January 3.
Larch Hills Nordic Society takes pride in providing Ski Hosts/Greeters for visitors to the hill both new and returning. In many previous years the club has John Henderson to thank for working hard at contacting and coordinating the many volunteers that helped out. The club is very appreciative of all of John’s dedication and now it is time for him to pass the torch.
If any member is willing to be a smiling face to visitors during this time, please contact Karen at the Chalet office, email manager@skilarchhills.ca or call 236-586-5711.
