The Larch Hills Nordic Safety Host Volunteer Program are members who are willing to assist in emergency situations on the trail system. As a volunteer host you decide when you are available. Safety Hosts identify themselves by wearing a Red Cross badge on their sleeve when skiing/snowshoeing. They come prepared to respond to an emergency while they are out on the trails, if called upon by cell phone, radio or in person.
LHNS Safety Host Volunteers offer LHNS members a service: we aim to quickly and appropriately respond to the needs of an injured skier or snowshoer – primarily but not exclusively on Larch Hills track set trails.
Please familiarize yourself with the services provided on our website. If you would like to participate as a volunteer safety host, please contact Karen at 236-586-5711 or drop into the chalet office between 9 am and 3 pm.
