Trails – Treats – Repeat

March 8th, 10am – 2pm

Skiers, snowshoers and dogs are welcome to bring friends and family for a self guided tour. Sample delicious treats along Larch Hills’ sunniest trails.

See the maps below for route planning, anything from 4km to 20+km is possible. 8 stations, 5 accessible for snowshoers, 2 on the dog loop.

Visit as many stations as your tummy desires.

Entry by donations (fundraising toward renovating/building new shelters  at sunny locations you visit on the tour).

VOLUNTEER HELPERS – we could let people play truffle pigs, however having a few people at the chalet giving route recommendations and helping with the maps would be much appreciated. Contact Abbi if you could cover a 45min shift before/after your own truffle hunt: abbimayski@gmail.com

Larch Hills Members Represented Canada

Masters World Cup

in Sappada, Italy

Larch Hills Masters athlete Kathy Butler recently represented Canada at the Masters World Cup in Sappada, Italy.  In her age group, Kathy placed 8th in the 15 km Classic, 6th in the    10 km Free and 6th in the 20 km Free.  She also joined Canadian teammates for the 4×5 km Relay, placing 4th.  Congratulations Kathy!

Sadly Robin didn’t race, as he hurt his foot a week before they left.  So, he was experiencing the event as a wax tech for the Canadian team.
Kathy and husband Robin are volunteer coaches for the Larch Hills Junior Ski Team. They were able to pop over to do some spectating at the cross country ski races at the Milano-Cortina Olympic Games!
