Reino Keski-Salmi is looking for a new volunteer to join our Loppet committee to organize the Aid Stations for the Loppet.
The Aid Stations provide drinks and snacks to the skiers at three locations on the course. Duties include:
Prior to the event, reviews aid station supplies from previous years and purchases needed items from the supply list. Works with volunteer coordinator to assign volunteers to work at the 3 aid stations during the event (volunteers for the aid stations have already been signed up for this year’s event!)
Day before event (Friday morning) pick up water from H2O4U get aid station supplies organized into the three aid station requirements and prepared for transport by the snowmobile crew.
Day of event (Saturday) – Arrange transport for the volunteers to and from the aid station with the snowmobile crew. Oversee aid station at South Hub during the event
Post event (or Sunday), the aid station lead ensures equipment is returned, cleaned and stored in sea cans.
