In Search of Recruits for Level 2 Officials Training in Salmon Arm!
CCBC has lined up an instructor to teach the Level 2 Officials course in Salmon Arm in early January. For insurance purposes, it is a requirement for the Chief of Race for a major loppet or BC Cup or higher level race to hold this certification. The training will also be useful for any officials or organizers involved in races and events hosted by our club.
It would be a great asset to have more Larch Hills members with this training. We now have the opportunity to host the course here in Salmon Arm, but we need a group of people to come forward and make it happen! The level 1 course, which is prerequisite, can be taken on line at your convenience.
If you are interested taking the level 2 course in January (or have questions), please contact me as soon as possible as CCBC is awaiting a response and needs to make the decision shortly. It is a 2-day course, and our options are thw weekend of January 6th-7th or January 13th-14th. Let me know your availability/preference.

Dancing with the Shuswap Stars Live Stream
Larch Hills members who were not able to get tickets for the Nov. 17th Dancing with the Shuswap Stars event can still be a part of the fund raising for the chalet expansion.
This year’s event will be live streamed that evening. Roxy Roth and her team at Shuswap Event will be videoing all the action at the SASCU Rec Center so that anyone can watch and hear the evening’s events on their smart phone, computer or, even better, on their wide-screen TV connected to their computer. Larch Hills members can enjoy the evening’s entertainment in the comfort of their own home or from wherever they might be, through the live coverage.
They can even help make sure that the winner of the Pro-Am category is our own Larch Hills president, Duncan Moore, by buying stars online through Paypal using their credit card. Remember every star purchased adds $5 to our chalet fund.
Live streaming will start at 7 p.m. and run until after the winners are announced at 11 p.m. Online voting will end at 10:30 so these votes can be tallied in with the votes of the recreation center audience and the judges.
